I had hoped to do a little series of fall pictures in Kansas City, but the moment I got that notion, the weather clouded up and has stayed that way much of the last few days. And while cloudy is good, it’s not best for photos, especially when you’re wanting the yellows and oranges and reds of fall foliage to really pop. And now a particular tree I wanted to photograph has lost most of its leaves after a warm and windy day, so meh. Mother Nature hates me for some reason. Bitch.
Anyway, I did manage to squeeze off one good picture with my iPhone while I was visiting Prettybird in Carrollton, Missouri. Not quite the “Autumn in the City” vibe I wanted originally, but it’s neat in its own way. Note the hedge apples: they’re nature’s little cannonballs!
